In order to strengthen their presence throughout the entire continent, the
powers of Law decided to build a beautiful temple far to the south of
Portal City. In charge of the Temple is the Grand Cleric, placed there for
his abilities to operate autonomously and without direction from Portal
City for every policy, etc. Relishing this independence, the Grand Cleric
created a rich little "empire" within the Temple compound. He grew in
power and strength...and in arrogance. People come from the nearby cities
and from far away to admire the absolute beauty and architecture of the
Temple. A whispered rumor has it that the once humble Grand Cleric has
been influenced by a powerful mage of Chaos....but that is only
rumor...perhaps spread by those who envy his strong position.
